It all started on Instagram, Kim aka Kittie, is a self proclaimed turquoise addict. She was sharing pictures on her feed of her western fashion style and turquoise pieces. Her friends and followers began asking her if she was selling the jewelry featured in her photos, and at the time she was not. They encouraged her to take a leap of faith to start her own business, and Kittie K Ranch and Co was born.

Kim, like many entrepreneurs, wears many hats in her household. She starts the day off at Jazzercise class by 7am, then back home to help her husband off to work. She then prints and packages orders, checks emails, hops on instagram to answer DMs there, then shops for and negotiates new product for her online store.

Kim is married to her high school sweetheart, is a mom to three daughters that are 26, 24, and 17 years old, and a grandma of three. Her youngest daughter is a senior in high school and the current Junior Miss Norco Mounted Posse Rodeo Queen, so she decided she wanted to start this business to do something for herself. “Jesus is my rock, and turquoise is my second rock,” Kim says. “I also love rodeo, and livestock events and I always try to add a little fashion while attending.”

Kittie K Ranch and Co features stunning Native American Made turquoise pieces, from earrings, to bracelets, necklaces and more. She also has some great tips on turquoise care, “Natural turquoise can absorb things like cleaning products, perfume, or metal polish, which may affect its color. Remove turquoise jewelry when cleaning and applying products to your skin and put your turquoise on after using cosmetics and lotion.” She also states, “The best quality turquoise is harder and more durable. Turquoise jewelry has been found that is thousands of years old and still bright and beautiful.”
