Fun, punchy, and classy western, is how Jitonna or “Tonna,” the owner of Turquoise Saloon, would describe her budding boutique business. Tonna’s love for everything western fashion related started when she was a brand rep for another boutique for a year. She watched and learned and fell in love with the industry and knew that her passion was to start her own store, her own business, something she could be proud of.

Her business is family and rodeo based, and you will see a lot of the rodeo fashion world influences in the choices she has available on her website, and how items are styled on her instagram page. She currently is a one man band, doing everything for her store from buying to shipping, posting on socials, and running her website, she is all self taught.

Tonna’s dedication to her work and her thriving business is apparent in her daily schedule. She also works full time at a dairy farm, so she’s up at 5am and off to the dairy before sun rise. Throughout the day when she has little breaks she posts pictures of new product on socials. On her lunch break she ships out orders from the night before, then when she gets home she rides her horses, tends to her chores, then hops online to buy more product for the shop.

She’s a cool t-shirt and trendy looking jeans type girl, but likes to get dressed up when not competing in the arena. “I grew up in the rodeo world and farming on my step dads hay farm. I have a huge passion for barrel racing and don't mind some roping to just do something different. I love the rodeo life style, I have huge goals in barrel racing. I hope that one day I can make it to the NFR,” Tonna says. She is in the process of moving to Texas to continue building her boutique and pursuing her rodeo dreams.
