Business Spotlight: The Wranglin’ Mama
Unique, handcrafted, and made in South Texas, The Wranglin’ Mama is making a statement in the western fashion world with her bold accessories.
Rebecca Lopez is no stranger to the jewelry business, in fact she brings years of jewelry design and making expertise to her western inspired line she started in 2019. The Wranglin’ Mama combines all of the classic elements of silver, turquoise, and beading to create stunning yet affordable pieces.
Her love of jewelry making began at the early age of 5, when she used to watch her grandfather make rosaries for her church. She would sit and watch and learn for hours on end. By the age of 23 she was ready to start her first jewelry business. She then took a few years off to dedicate her time to her family, and now she’s fully devoted to making The Wranglin’ Mama, a brand that is built for her family, a legacy.
The name comes from a place of passion and love, and since she’s the head wrangler in her household, wrangling her animals, the four kids, and her house. “All designs are a reflection on myself or my family,” Rebecca says.
She’s up at the crack of dawn everyday to make sure her family of six, her “herd” as she affectionately calls them, rolling. She drops off her kiddos at school, calls her mama, then spends the rest of her day taking care of business and looking after her twins, who will start school this fall. Rebecca works on wholesale orders, retail orders, and design. “There's no telling what is going to pop up in my day and what's going to have to get done. I wouldn't trade it for anything,” says Rebecca. Faith is also a huge part of her life and her family.
