Help Save Rodeo in CA
For over 100 years, rodeo has been enjoyed by many in the state of California. Recently, there has been a lot of talk in regards to banning rodeo in many California cities. Rodeo is already banned in Napa County, Pasadena, and San Fransisco. Other California cities such as Los Angeles are trying to push forward with this ban.
Rodeo is a misunderstood way of life. For some, without proper education, these events are targeted more easily. Alameda County, home to the Rowell Ranch Rodeo which just celebrated 100 years, has experienced this. Petitioners want to ban the use of spurs and bucking straps. California is home to the Grand National Rodeo which takes place at the Cow Palace. The Cow Palace is located in Daly City, just about 10 minutes from San Fransisco where rodeo is banned. The Grand National Rodeo is coming up and will be held on October 7th and 8th 2022. Along with the Grand National Rodeo California holds California Rodeo Salinas. The oldest running rodeo in California and one of the largest national rodeos.
California has a deep history of rodeo which cannot be broken. Please join other California residents and me in the fight to protect the rodeo and the traditions it brings.
