The Dirty Heifer Salon & Boutique Owner, Devon Firestone

Owner Devon Firestone, a former Miss Rodeo Florida, tells us what inspired her to open her business, she says:

“Growing up in my small town there were two small western stores, one called the Cattlegap, the second called The Western Edge. Over the years they’ve long since gone, I wanted to bring a small piece of that back with a modern twist.”

The Dirty Heifer is certainly unique, and we love the term Agri-fabulous, which is how they describe their style. “We’re definitely all about embracing our weird,” Firestone says, “we did not want to be that place that you had to whisper walking in we want people to be comfortable and feel at home.”

Devon, who showed cows growing up, gets up early everyday to take care of her four horses, six Frenchie dogs, and her one miniature highland bull named Dirty before going to work to do hair, check emails & text messages, and posting as much as she possibly can. Her employee Joleigh is a big part of her success, “She is literally my right hand girl and I would probably fall apart without her she is a lifesaver more times than not if I’m busy even if she’s not there working for the day she’ll try to answer as many people as she possibly can.”
